valentines day decorations
I love decorating for every holiday big or small. Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays because pink and red are my favorite colors. I mean what girl doesn’t want to deck her house out in pink, red, and glitter decor?
Do not think pretty decor means a lot of money. NO decorating does not have to be expensive. You can decorate any area in your home for cheap with a little DIY. My favorite place and the first place to shop when looking for holiday decor is the dollar tree. They have some seriously cute stuff for $1.00! It’s a frugal momma’s dream.
Ok now on to the good stuff. I made this super cute little Valentines Day flower ball for just $6.00. With only things from the dollar tree. In fact, I decorated this whole little entry way table of mine with things from the dollar tree and added few things I already had around the house.
The best part? I plan to take some of these things and reuse for easter. That’s why I tend to stick with pink flowers. So that I can reuse them on the next holiday.
So this DIY project is as easy as the come. You only need 4 things.
what you will need
- 3 bushels of red or pink roses
- 1 foam ball
- 1 glass candle holder
- hot glue gun and glue
DIY valentines flower ball instructions
- Cut all the roses off the stems. only leave about 1/2 inch.
- Now start sticking your roses into the foam ball until you have covered the whole ball. Leave a small area without roses for you candle holder.
- Hot glue your candle holder to the foam ball.
- YOUR DONE! NOW HOW SIMPLE IS THAT?
That’s seriously it. This is a super cute accent piece to add to any table or shelf and give it some color. Cute, simple, and cheap my favorite things.
